GETKO’s DATA FILES

How is Getko’s New Homeowner file compiled?
The file is compiled by title transfers of homes throughout the country as they are recorded at the town and county offices. Getko’s data acquisition team gathers the real estate closing data from county clerks across the country on the same day it is posted.

How often is the file updated?
We update our files once per week.

What is your deliverability rate?
We guarantee a 98% delivery rate.

How long has the new homeowner been in the home before I receive the data?
The names are in our database roughly 3 weeks after closing date.

Are there any new home constructions or co-ops on the file?
There are no new constructions, co-ops, refinancers, or empty lots on our file. We scrub our data so thoroughly, you only get new homeowner names. Remember, Getko mails our own file every month. We won’t tolerate low deliverability – and neither should you.

What’s the difference between a new homeowner file and a new mover file?
New movers files may include new homeowners, but they also consist of apartment renters, students and other transients. While these names might be suitable for some offers, they don’t share the same desirable demographic profile as new homeowners: financial stability, heavy mail-order purchasers, powerful spending on home-related items and big-ticket merchandise, new purchasing habits. Read more about why the new homeowner is a lucrative source for new customers.

What percentage of the file is male/female?
The file is comprised of roughly 90% male and 40% female

Does your new homeowner file contain phone numbers?
Yes, approximately 35% of our list has phone numbers.

Is the new homeowner file scrubbed against the Do Not Call (DNC) list?
While we do not run our file through the DNC list, consider this: the majority of new homeowners have new phone numbers, which have not yet been registered with the DNC list. And even after a phone number has been registered, it takes three months for that number to be added to the list. While the DNC list imposes new restrictions on telemarketers, new homeowners remain a viable target.

What types of offers does the new homeowner file work for?
The purchasing profile of the new homeowner is what makes this demographic so lucrative. New homeowners have many needs and typically develop new purchasing habits. Therefore, new homeowner families are a great target for home and garden products, electronics, catalogs, book clubs, financial offers, fund raising, subscriptions and more.

I’m interested in reaching established homeowners. How far back does your homeowner data go?
Our established homeowner masterfile contains data as far back as 1996.

What is the minimum order size?
